Mission Statement

The Jacksonville Ostomy Support Group Volunteer Organization composed of primarily of Ostomates with the purpose of supplementing the work of medical professionals and dedicated to offering support, education, information, advocacy, and mutual aid for all people who have or will have Intestinal or Urinary Diversions. Jacksonville Ostomy Support Group is a member of UOAA.
 

Serving the Jacksonville Metropolitan area since the early 1970s. The Jacksonville Ostomy Support Group was formed to provide education, support, and guidance for those who have or will have Intestinal or Urinary Tract Diversions Sharing the vision of the United Ostomy Associations of America, we are a non profit organization composed primarily of ostomates dedicated to supplementing the work of professionals by offering support, education, information, advocacy, and mutual aid for all people who have or will have intestinal or urinary tract diversions. Our monthly chapter meetings provide a forum for education and support with guest speakers and discussion. Our chapter newsletter contains a wealth of information dedicated to helping all members of the Ostomy Community and their families and their friends. Through our visitor program, trained members visit Ostomy Patients in hospitals, at home and through telephone visits upon request of a ostomy nurse or physician. We hope you will attend our monthly meetings and share your experiences with US!

All chapter meetings take place at 3 p.m.
on the third Sunday of the month.
